1 Context

Text. It's in your documents, your scripts, your presentations, your reels and ads. Text is the source code of modern business; it’s how abstract ideas become tangible reality.

But what happens when your most important tool is also your most tedious one?

2 Idea

It all began with a special kind of hell: the need to create hundreds of contracts, reports, and invoices every month by manually moving text from one place to another. The only "solutions" were kludgy automation and brittle scripts, which was often just as painful.

The first glimmer of an idea came back in 2017 from legal practice: a simple text templating engine with variables and a form.

The key was creating templates on the fly, without the usual headache.

3 Shift

But when generative AI arrived, the game changed completely. A new, far more powerful concept struck: what if an entire document was just a set of AI-enhanced variables?

What if a user could simply type few words, press a button, and get a perfect result?

4 Base

That concept was too impactful to ignore, and it became the foundation of Dark Pool Studio. This is the first experiment from our Barcelona based product validation studio, created by solo founder Alex Cheshire on his public journey to build a product micro-empire (Linkedin, X.com).

5 Mission

The studio's mission is to find ways to enhance human capabilities. Drafta is our attempt to modify document work so one person can achieve the output of ten.

6 Vision

We build our product for a specific kind of person: the creative perfectionist who loves order but thrives in the chaos of creation.

The one who is driven crazy by monotonous, primitive work.

We believe creating any kind of content should feel less like a chore and more like playing with a constructor set, adding a touch of gamification to the most boring workflows.
